Being open is a good thing. An atmosphere of openness sparks innovation, and as a technology company, Cellum has always been committed to being an open workplace. Recently, a group of market-leading companies in Hungary – including Prezi and Google Hungary – have launched a movement called We’re Open. It was only natural that Cellum, being a leader in mobile payments and as such, depending highly on innovation, would be among the first ones to join the initiative. We are proud to be open – to new ideas, to innovative solutions, to one another and to the world – things we believe are the key to our success.
On the occasion of launching the We’re Open movement, the founders issued an announcement through their official website, stating the core benefits of being open and urging other enterprises to join them in promoting a culture of openness and fair treatment.
“As open companies, we regard it as a fundamental corporate value that our employees and our partners are judged solely on the basis of their actions and their work performance, and without regard for their sex, age, sexual orientation, national or ethnic background, political convictions, physical abilities, or other characteristics.
Our openness – to new ideas, innovative solutions, to one another and to the world – is one of the keys to our success.
We know that there are lots of you out there who share our values. Nyitottakvagyunk.hu (We’re open) has been created for those companies, organisations and communities that would like to join us in a commitment to openness and to inspire others to do the same.”
More than 250 companies – human and civil rights organisations and newspapers – and more than 2500 civilians have joined the initiative so far, and Cellum is proud to be among them.
