MasterCard took the payments world by surprise when in 2013 it announced its then-new omni-channel digital payment network called MasterPass.
As a solutions provider believing strongly in interoperability and choice for customers, as well as a longstanding partner of the card scheme giant, Cellum has almost immediately started integrating its mobile wallet technology with MasterCard’s new platform. As a result, Cellum gave Europe a “master class in MasterPass” when it announced OTPay, the continent’s first MasterPass-enabled mobile wallet.
Cellum also supported MasterCard in establishing the MasterPass merchant network in the country of Hungary, gaining outstanding experience and a deep understanding of merchant-specific needs in the process. Then, earlier this year Cellum brought MasterPass to Telenor Wallet, making the Norwegian telecoms giant’s Hungarian subsidiary the world’s first mobile carrier to offer a MasterPass-enabled wallet.
Published today, the latest white paper from Cellum gives an overview of the MasterPass ecosystem and the unique competencies developed while working with it. The report is now available for free on the white paper area of our corporate website.
